Fiorello! is a musical about New York City mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia, a reform Republican who took on Tammany Hall. The book is by Jerome Weidman and George Abbott, with lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and music by Jerry Bock. It is one of only eight musicals to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Betty Hofstadt and Don Draper go to see Fiorello! and run into Jim Hobart of a rival ad agency, who wants Don to come over to his firm. He asks Betty to test to be the Coca Cola girl for their Coke ads in an attempt to bribe Don to leave Sterling Cooper Advertising Agency. ("Shoot")
