Jack sits down with Don Draper for an interview. "Who is Don Draper?" Jack Hammond asks Don.

Because of this interview, Pete's college buddy Ho-Ho pulls the Jai Alai account from Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce because Don neglected to talk up the client in his interview. Don eventually sits down for another interview with the Wall Street Journal, embellishing the truth to a certain degree.

Jack Hammond was wounded in Korea and consequently has a wooden leg. Speaking of him and the magazine, Roger Sterling says: "They're so cheap, they can't even afford a whole reporter".
